Introduction

Our Client is seeking a forward-thinking Cognitive Systems Engineer to join their Energy & Digital Infrastructure division. This role blends engineering, AI, and human-machine interaction to optimize decision-making across their renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• • Design and implement intelligent systems that support predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and operational efficiency
  • Integrate data from SCADA, IoT sensors, and ERP platforms into centralized analytics environments
  • Collaborate with engineering, sustainability, and IT teams to automate decision workflows
  • Develop digital twins and cognitive models for solar PV, wind, and battery storage assets
  • Ensure system compliance with WBHO’s digital standards and energy governance protocols
  • Support human-in-the-loop systems for high-stakes decision environments

Desired Experience & Qualification

• • BSc / BEng in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Cognitive Systems
  • 5+ years in intelligent systems, AI engineering, or industrial analytics
  • Proficiency in: Python, Scala, TensorFlow, Spark, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with SCADA, telemetry, or energy monitoring platforms (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Git, Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus
