Job description

Grabouw / Elgin Valley: Join a renowned and much-loved farm stall and tourist destination in the heart of the Elgin Valley. Known for its warm hospitality, local produce, and artisanal treats, this iconic pit-stop is seeking a charismatic and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to manage its Coffee Shop.

Part Time: Work Every 2nd Weekend (Saturday & Sunday Roster)

Purpose of the Role: To manage and support front-of-house operations with a focus on exceptional customer service, smooth daily operations, and team coordination in a high-traffic hospitality environment. The position involves working every second weekend (Saturday and Sunday), with trading hours from 07:30 to 17:30 daily.

Key responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To

  • Support to the senior Management Team
  • Front-of-house presence and guest interaction
  • Delivering a consistently high level of customer service
  • Assisting with cashier operations and till management
  • Overseeing and assisting with product displays and merchandising
  • Managing stock control and receiving of goods
  • Ordering and checking produce and other incoming items
Criteria
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a hospitality or retail food environment
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
  • A warm, engaging, and team-oriented personality
  • Own, reliable transport essential
  • Only applicants with experience in a comparable role and setting and currently residing in or near the Grabouw / Elgin Valley area will be considered for the role
Remuneration and Hours of Work
  • Market related
  • Workday hours: 07:30 to 17:30
  • 2-day work week, every second weekend Saturday and Sunday
  • Start Date: Urgent
