Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Logistics and Delivery Driver with a Code 14 license to manage significant transportation tasks from our Randburg hub. The role requires handling large vehicles, planning routes across Gauteng, and ensuring safe, timely delivery of products while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with heavy-duty trucks, strong safety compliance knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Code 14 license with clean driving record and endorsements.
Minimum 5 years of experience driving heavy-duty vehicles, including articulated trucks.
Knowledge of safe driving practices and transport regulations.
Ability to use GPS navigation systems and plan routes.
Good physical condition to handle loads.
Strong work ethic, reliability and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Operate a Code 14 truck for scheduled logistics and deliveries.
Ensure goods are loaded, secured, and transported safely and efficiently.
Plan and execute daily routes within Randburg and Gauteng as needed.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report findings.
Maintain accurate delivery records including POD, mileage and fuel logs.
Communicate with dispatch, customers and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
