Job description

We are seeking the skills of an Ultra-heavy Motor Vehicle Driver (Code 14) who will be based in Standerton.

Minimum Requirements :

1. Grade 12.
2. Code EC driver's license with a valid PrDP.
3. 3 years experience driving an Ultra heavy vehicle.
4. 3 years experience driving a Superlink / Interlink / combination.
5. Must be prepared to work weekends and public holidays.
6. Knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
7. Understanding of reporting procedures for emergencies and vehicle defects.
8. Ability to perform vehicle inspections and operate a fire extinguisher.
9. Focus on maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
10. Skills in vehicle loading and offloading techniques.
11. Own reliable transport to and from work.
12. Clean criminal record.
13. Medically fit to perform duties.

Duties & Responsibilities :

1. Prepare vehicle for trips and operate Ultra heavy duty vehicles safely.
2. Load, transport, and offload vehicles.
3. Handle documentation and perform ancillary duties.
4. Follow instructions from supervisor.
5. Work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
6. Maintain a safe driving record and a clean criminal record.
7. Keep vehicles, uniform, and PPE clean and organized.
8. Adhere to SOPs and safety procedures.
9. Successfully undergo and complete relevant training.
