Job summary

West Coast Personnel seeks a Code 10/14 delivery driver in the Western Cape. You will follow the Distribution Manager’s route plan, ensure accurate invoicing with customer sign-off, and manage returns per policy. Daily vehicle checks, cleaning, and proper parking are required.

Evidence of a 3-year driving track record with PDP is essential. The role emphasizes roadworthiness checks, timely deliveries, and precise crate documentation.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license with PDP required.
• 3 years experience as Code 10/14 driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the route plan as determined by the Distribution Manager/Assistant.
• Ensure accurate fulfilment of each customer invoice; obtain signed acceptance for delivered/collected products and crates.
• Check returns and accept only valid returns per company policy.
• Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and report faults immediately.
• Clean the vehicle daily inside and out.
• Check oil and water daily and top up as needed.
• Unload vehicle fully at end of delivery and debrief for checks on returns.
• Park vehicle neatly and securely with cab doors locked and windows closed.
• Accurately record crates delivered and collected.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• To follow the route plan as determined by the Distribution Manager/Assistant.
• To ensure the accurate fulfilment of each customer invoice, ensuring each customer signs for acceptance of
  products and crates delivered/collected.
• To carefully check all returns and to accept returns as valid only if they comply with the company’s returns policy.
• To ensure that the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and that all faults are reported to the Distribution Manager
  immediately.
• The vehicle is to be cleaned daily, inside, and out in the designated area only.
• The vehicle’s oil and water level are to be checked daily and topped up with oil/water when necessary.
• To ensure your vehicle is unloaded fully at the end of each delivery. All product returns to be given in for checking
  by debriefing clerk.
• Upon completion of duties - the vehicle is to be parked neatly and securely with cab doors locked and windows
  closed.
• To accurately record all crates delivered and collected.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license with a valid Public Driving Permit
