Cre8work! is seeking a Code 10 Driver to safely operate a Code 10 (C1) vehicle for timely deliveries and collections, while maintaining vehicle roadworthiness.
Applicants should have a Code 10/C1 license, PrDP/PDP, and 2–3 years driving experience. Good communication and physical fitness are important as you may assist with loading and unloading.
To safely and efficiently operate a Code 10 (C1) vehicle, ensuring the timely delivery and collection of goods while maintaining the vehicle in a safe and roadworthy condition.
Operate a Code 10 vehicle safely and responsibly.
Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes and delivery instructions.
Load and offload goods safely and ensure that loads are properly secured.
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents to the relevant manager.
Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, logbooks and proof-of-delivery documentation accurately.
Obtain customer signatures and ensure all delivery documentation is returned.
Follow all road traffic laws, company policies and safety procedures.
Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.
Plan routes efficiently and ensure deliveries are completed on time.
Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch and management.
Assist with loading and unloading where required.
Valid Code 10 / C1 Driver's Licence.
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).
Minimum 2--3 years' relevant driving experience; 5 years preferred for experienced positions.
Clean driving record.
Clear criminal record where required by the employer.
Good knowledge of local and regional routes.
Good communication and time-management skills.
Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading.
Reliable, punctual and responsible.
Matric/Grade 10 or equivalent, depending on the client's requirements.
Previous experience in logistics, distribution or delivery.
Experience with proof-of-delivery systems and GPS/navigation.
Basic knowledge of vehicle inspections and maintenance.
Dangerous Goods Permit (DGP), where applicable.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends or shifts when required.
Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
Compliance with all company health, safety and road-traffic requirements.
