Job summary

A logistics company in George is seeking a Code 10 Driver to load and deliver customer orders in the George and Swellendam areas. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate deliveries, maintaining the vehicle, and liaising with customers. A valid Code 10 driver's license with PDP is required, along with knowledge of Dangerous Goods and Hazchem regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver customer orders daily according to the delivery schedule.
• Check and ensure correct quantities delivered to customers.
• Complete delivery and collection documents accurately for finance purposes.
• Ensure delivery vehicle is neatly packed to prevent damages.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects immediately.

Code 10 with PDP, Dangerous Goods, and Hazchem

Responsibilities:

1. Load and deliver customer orders daily according to the delivery schedule for George and surrounding areas.
2. Check and ensure the correct quantities are delivered to customers and collected from suppliers.
3. Complete delivery and collection documents accurately for finance purposes.
4. Ensure the delivery vehicle is neatly packed to prevent damages and breakages.
5. Perform daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical defects or unroadworthy issues immediately.
6. Keep the delivery vehicle clean at all times.
7. Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers, planning trips prior to departure from the office.
8. Provide minor technical assistance at customer locations regarding electronic dosing equipment servicing and general maintenance as needed.

Additional duties when required:

• Assist with movement of products and stock in and out of the warehouse.
• Help with packaging stock onto shelves.
• Assist with picking and packing customer orders.

The Code 10 Driver will transport bulk chemicals to clients in the George and Swellendam areas.
