Placements24 is seeking an experienced Property Development Project Manager to lead major coastal and mixed-use developments in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will guide projects from feasibility through design, construction, and handover, emphasizing strategic planning, budget control, stakeholder engagement, and delivering quality and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in property development project management, preferably in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Proven track record delivering complex development projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use).
• Strong understanding of development finance, construction management, and legal frameworks.
• Experience with project planning software and financial management tools.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage a hybrid work schedule balancing site presence with remote tasks.
• Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal development landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of property development projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and site assessments.
• Develop project plans with timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Appoint and manage consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee design processes ensuring plans meet objectives and regulations.
• Manage construction, monitoring progress, quality, and safety.
• Secure permits, approvals, and licenses.
• Liaise with government bodies, communities, and investors.
• Manage project financials including cost control and cash flow.
• Mitigate risks and resolve issues during development.
