Job summary

Ikwezi Mining (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Logistics Manager to lead weighbridge operations, stockpile control and transport contractor management. You will coordinate inbound and outbound coal shipments, ensuring accurate weight reconciliations and timely deliveries.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in logistics or related field and 5–8 years in logistics leadership, preferably in coal or bulk handling, with SAP and Excel proficiency and strong safety compliance mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business admin or related field.
• 5–8 years of logistics management experience, preferably in coal/mining or bulk handling.
• Strong knowledge of coal handling, transport methods and storage best practices.
• Experience with SAP is preferred and strong regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage weighbridge, loaders, stockpiles and transport contractors.
• Oversee inbound/outbound coal shipments and transport coordination.
• Coordinate transport providers and customers for timely deliveries.
• Reconcile stock, load and off-load weights, trips and paperwork.
• Ensure stockpiles are stored efficiently with minimal loss and contamination.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Implement procedures to minimize dust emissions and hazards.
• Conduct safety audits and training for logistics personnel.
• Develop cost-effective logistics strategies and monitor efficiency.
• Negotiate contracts with transport providers and 3PLs.
