Job summary

Mc Technology Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator for a Vanderbijlpark role. You will program and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, interpret drawings, select tooling and set speeds and feeds, ensuring precision and on-time production.

Proficient with Fanuc and Siemens controls, and familiar with EdgeCAM or Fusion 360 is preferred. Experience with Mazak is advantageous, and a trade-tested background plus Matric is required.

Qualifications

• Matric and trade-tested artisan preferred.
• Experience reading technical drawings and CAD designs.
• 5+ years in CNC programming and setup in a manufacturing environment.

• 510 years' experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator.
• Proven experience with Fanuc controls (essential).
• Ability to write CNC programs from technical drawings.
• Experience machining castings is essential.
• Proficient in both CNC turning and milling operations.
• Strong understanding of threads, profiles, grooves, and general machining practices.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Mazak Machine and controls will be advantageous
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Mastercam, and/or Solidworks will be advantageous
• Select tooling and make basic machine adjustments.
• Measure and inspect components using verniers, micrometers and gauges.
• Ensure components meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Perform basic fault-finding and report machine issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Meet production and quality targets.
