Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain precision equipment to reduce downtime.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and models.
• Set up, calibrate, and program CNC machine to execute specific manufacturing tasks.
• Make adjustments during operation to achieve desired tolerances (0.02mm).
• Inspect final machined product to ensure conformity by making use of measuring equipment like verniers and calipers.
• Remove and finally machine the newly installed labyrinths on various rotors.
• Machine rotor blade tips to specified dimensions.
• Burnish probe tracks.
• Machine and radial grinding of bearing journals.
• Axial grinding of thrust collars.
• Collaborating with engineers, managers, and fellow team members.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to Health & Safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• Qualified Artisan - Trade Certificate (Red Seal).
• Technical training in the operation of large CNC Lathes, Horizontal and Vertical borers.
• Online programming of CNC controls, Fagor, Siemens, and Fanuc.
• Previous experience of machining large Turbine, Compressor, and Blower rotors exceeding 20tons (at least 10 years).
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English to liaise effectively with the workshop, customers, suppliers/subcontractors, and management.
• Deadline driven.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
