Applications are invited for a Cluster Logistics Manager Western Cape position in our Logistics team based in Cape Town.

This person will report to the Zone Logistics Manager and be responsible for managing a depot and leading a cluster of depots within the Western Cape area by managing operational relationships with customers and driving operational excellence.

Key Performance Areas include, but are not limited to:

• Safety & Sustainability: Drive safety and sustainability within the cluster. Lead by example, implement reporting systems, and ensure follow-up.
• Promote safety culture and collaborate with stakeholders. Ensure storage conditions meet HEINEKEN standards and minimize obsolescence.
• Manage Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
• Depot Management: Oversee daily operations including inventory, transportation, and warehousing.
• Cluster Leadership: Lead multiple depots within a geographic area, ensuring operational consistency and excellence.
• Operational Execution: Drive operational performance to meet or exceed KPIs across depots.
• Customer Service: Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
• Team Leadership: Lead depot managers and operational staff, providing guidance and development opportunities.
• Cost Management: Control costs, identify savings opportunities, and operate within budgets.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure depots comply with regulations and standards, managing risks proactively.
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership and participate in developing growth strategies, leveraging TradeXpress/Secondary as customer touchpoints.
• Implement TPM and Continuous Improvement initiatives, driving teams according to TPM methodology.
• Manage returnable assets to improve circulation, reduce market and site losses.
• Execute initiatives to enhance performance within the cluster as directed by the Zone Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in logistics management, including depot management and team leadership
• Proven skills in operational execution and customer service
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with LMS, TMS, and WMS systems
• Knowledge of depot operations, transportation regulations, and inventory management best practices
