Job description

Cloud Support Engineer required in Port Elizabeth.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Support Engineer to be based in the Network Operations Centre of our client in Port Elizabeth.

Salary: R18 000 – R24 000 per month.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 – 4 years’ experience in cloud support.
  • IT Qualification is essential.
  • Driver’s License is essential.
  • Matric Qualification is essential.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft environment (Azure) and cloud Services.
  • Working experience and knowledge with Sharepoint and One-Drive
  • Working knowledge with MS-Office365, MS-Active Directory, MS-Windows Server, and MS-Exchange Server.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and providing support required in network / data centre / systems / storage & Security administration and monitoring Services within a medium ICT organization.
  • Working knowledge within the supported technical domain (i.e. Network, Data Center, Telephony, Exchange, Storage, Cloud, Backup etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to organizations that use cloud-based systems to manage their data and applications
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to cloud-based solutions, providing technical assistance to customers, working with software and hardware vendors to resolve issues, and collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement new solutions
  • Deploys, debugs, and executes initiatives related to cloud computing, designs, develops, and maintains cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies, interacts with clients, provides cloud support, and makes recommendations based on client needs
  • Monitor client infrastructure and solutions
  • Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur
  • Investigate and support first line incidents and break downs
  • Provide telephonic and remote support to clients when required
  • Execute maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes
  • Report and escalate incidents where necessary
  • Ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolutions of incidents and requests
