This role involves designing, deploying, and managing server environments that underpin critical business functions. Key Responsibilities

• Detect and prioritise system vulnerabilities using automated scanning tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive vulnerability remediation
• Support the organisation’s overall security and risk management framework
• Continuously refine security posture, processes, and tools
• Lead coordination efforts with governance, risk, and compliance teams on vulnerability and risk assessments
• Assist and conduct penetration testing internally and externally
• Analyse penetration testing results and work with stakeholders to resolve issues
• Manage and support cloud technology stacks such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Basic programming knowledge across platforms including PHP, HTML, Ruby on Rails, and PowerShell
• Manage MySQL and PostgreSQL database environments
• Respond to internal queries related to vulnerability management
• Assist in managing security incidents, alerts, and investigations
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software
• Monitor and troubleshoot server performance issues
• Conduct regular security audits and apply patches and updates
• Develop and enforce server-related policies and procedures
• Collaborate closely with network engineers and IT teams
• Maintain server backups and disaster recovery processes
• Analyse system logs to identify potential risks or failures
• Ensure compliance with software licensing and regulatory requirements
• Document server environment configurations and changes
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and colleagues
• Plan and execute server upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions
• Manage virtualisation technologies and cloud-based server environments
• Perform resource optimisation and capacity planning
