Placements24 is seeking a visionary Cloud Network Architect for a fully remote role. You will design and implement scalable, secure cloud networks across major platforms, guiding best practices and automation to deliver resilient infrastructure.

You will collaborate with distributed engineering teams, manage IaC deployments with Terraform/CloudFormation, and ensure compliance, performance, and cost efficiency. A strong background in cloud networking, security, and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• 7+ years in network architecture and design; 3+ years in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP in large network setups.
• Scripting/automation with Python, Ansible, Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and compliance.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud network architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and manage virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, firewalls, and load balancing strategies.
• Automate network deployments and configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ensure network security compliance and implement monitoring solutions for performance and threat detection.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud network performance and cost-efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in network architecture and design, with at least 3 years focused on cloud environments.
• Expertise in designing and managing complex networks in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) for network management.
• Strong understanding of network security principles , compliance, and best practices in the cloud.
