Job summary

Fragomen Global Development Lab in Johannesburg seeks a Backend Software Developer to design and maintain backend services for our web applications, with a .NET REST API and strong emphasis on cloud-native evolution with AWS.

You will collaborate with a global team of developers, designers and business owners, refactoring solutions toward a cloud native architecture while ensuring robust unit testing and scalable integration with MS Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing in a remote agile team.
• Experience with .NET REST API development, preferably with AOT familiarity.
• Ability to develop using FAST principles and with robust unit testing.
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Preferred experience with AWS cloud native development utilizing Lambdas, and Serverless Framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop based on the defined requirements and overarching architectural roadmap.
• Support and maintain a .NET API.
• Review system errors to identify and rectify potential defects.
• Collaborate with various teams within the business and in IT to ensure the developed solution is interoperable with other applications within the firm.
