Job description

As a Cloud Engineer at SEIDOR Networks, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services for both internal operations and a diverse customer base.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with public and hybrid cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Huawei Cloud, Microsoft, etc.) and a solid understanding of networking, virtualization, security, and automation within the MSP landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, AWS, Huawei Cloud, and Microsoft.
  2. Implement cloud-based networking, security, and backup solutions.
  3. Provide Tier 2 / 3 technical support for cloud-related incidents and requests.
  4. Migrate on-premises workloads and services to cloud platforms.
  5. Work closely with the service desk, project teams, and account managers to deliver cloud services aligned with customer needs.
  6. Monitor system performance, availability, and security of cloud environments.
  7. Maintain and update infrastructure-as-code scripts (e.g., using PowerShell).
  8. Ensure proper documentation of cloud environments, configurations, and changes.
  9. Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery design, and compliance initiatives.
  10. Stay up to date with industry trends and new cloud services to provide recommendations and improvements.

Role Requirements: Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
  • Relevant IT certifications required: AWS Solution Architect Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified. Relevant certifications highly preferred: Azure Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Solution Architect – Professional.
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

Technical Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a cloud engineering and infrastructure support role, preferably within an MSP or IT service provider.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, AWS, and Huawei Cloud is beneficial.
  • Experience with Virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, routing, firewalls, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, Bash, Cloud CLI).
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions in cloud environments (e.g., Veeam, Azure Site Recovery, AWS).
  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
