Our client requires the services of a Software Engineer (Entry) - Midrand / Menlyn / Rosslyn / Home Office rotation.

POSITION: Contract until December

EXPERIENCE: 2-4 Years related working experience

COMMENCEMENT: 01 March

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: Work experience, diploma / degree in business / IT environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

1. AWS Cloud PAAS and IAS
2. Experience in architecting and developing solutions for scalable, distributed systems
3. Security of AWS services, securing design of VPC architectures
4. Expert in Java / JEE
5. RESTful APIs
6. Databases / SQL (PostgreSQL advantageous)
7. Docker / Kubernetes
8. Code versioning (Git)
9. GitHub / GitHub actions
10. Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

1. Apache Kafka
2. Kibana
3. Grafana
4. Terraform
5. ArgoCD
6. Quarkus
7. Agile development methodologies
8. Confluence / Jira

ROLE: Development and maintenance on platform / application.

Meet with end users and gather requirements. Participate in stand-up meetings. Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives.

Review and present to Product Owners.

Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements. Preparation of system / technical documentation (as per ISO standards). User training. System testing / parallel runs. System implementation.
