Job summary

IQVIA seeks a Data Acquisition Specialist to define, set up, and ingest External Data Streams for clinical trials, ensuring alignment with protocol requirements and data protection laws. You will work with stakeholders to specify data transfer, ingestion, and data structure for each stream.

You will develop tsDTA documents, perform UAT, and implement transfer mechanisms into the central data repository, while monitoring data availability and quality across diverse sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (ECG, labs, imaging, EHR, wearables).
• Experience developing data transfer agreements and working in global trials.

Responsibilities

• Define, set-up and ingest External Data Streams per protocol requirements.
• Liaise with data stakeholders on data transfer, ingestion and structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific tsDTA documentation documenting requirements.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study needs (monitoring, analysis).
• Coordinate with external data providers on tsDTA alignment.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for programmers.
• UAT of test data transfers ensuring alignment with specifications.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into the data repository (CDR).
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams; resolve issues.
