Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) in Cape Town, Western Cape to monitor sites, ensure GCP compliance, and safeguard data integrity across cardiovascular trials.

You will conduct site visits, train staff, manage documentation, and liaise with sponsors while travelling regularly to assigned sites in the Western Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 3 years CRA experience in pharma/biotech.
• Thorough understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory affairs.
• Proven experience monitoring clinical trials, preferably cardiovascular.
• Willingness to travel within Western Cape and other regions.

Responsibilities

• Perform site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits per protocol and SOPs.
• Ensure adherence to protocol, ICH-GCP, and local regulations.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of data via source document verification.
• Communicate with sponsor and investigational sites to address queries and resolve issues.
• Train site staff on study procedures, regulatory requirements, and data collection.
• Oversee handling, storage, and accountability of investigational products.
• Prepare and present monitoring visit reports and raise risks or deviations.
• Maintain trial documentation and ensure essential documents are up-to-date.
• Liaise with investigators and staff to ensure smooth trial progress.
