Responsibilities

• Examine clinical pathology specimens grossly and microscopically, and prepare timely pathology reports.
• Meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
• Provide telephone and email consultations to clients.
• Collaborate with other pathologists and laboratory personnel to promote collegiality and proper specimen processing.
• Participate in quality control programs and maintain diagnostic proficiency through continuing education.
• Engage in professional activities that enhance IDEXX's reputation, as approved by management.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
• Pathology Board Certified (ACVP or ECVCP) preferred; board-eligible candidates encouraged.
• Familiar with current topics in veterinary medicine, with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in typing and using dictation equipment.
• Experience in veterinary diagnostic laboratories preferred.
• Located in South Africa.
