Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade C3)- Theatre

Professional nurse registered with the South African Nursing Council.
A post-basic qualification in the area of specialty or evidence of competent experience in that field.
2 years’ experience in Theatre is essential.
Critical eye for improvement and action plans including involvement in Quality Improvement processes.
Experience in basic Ward administration.
Must demonstrate an advanced understanding of clinical governance, best practice processes, policies, and risk profiles in the specialty.
Knowledge of Core standards and National Health Guidelines.
Required to apply critical nursing skills and judgment across a range of variable situations, and to anticipate problems.
Must be able to influence, motivate, develop, and lead a team to ensure quality and productive clinical and professional nursing care.
Must demonstrate an ability to contribute to and utilize research.
Strong mentorship skills.
Must demonstrate willingness to teach and actively participate in teaching and sharing knowledge and skills.
