Job summary

Netcare in Parow, Western Cape is seeking a Professional Nurse to provide holistic, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care while acting as a key patient advocate and clinical resource.

The role includes coordinating care, communicating with families and other health professionals, initiating emergency treatment when required, and maintaining accurate shift documentation to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Professional Nurse with the SA Nursing Council.
• Extensive knowledge of general and specialized nursing theory and practice.
• Clinical competency in planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care.
• Coordinate patient care within the multi-disciplinary health team.
• Communicate with families and health professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Initiate and manage emergency treatment (RESUS) as needed.
• Maintain day/night shift documentation reflecting patient status and staffing.

Education
