A reputable private hospital in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Facilitator to support the Critical Care Nursing team . The successful candidate will play a key role in developing clinical competencies, mentoring nursing staff, and ensuring continuous professional development in line with best practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Facilitate learning and development of nurses within the ICU, High Care, and Emergency units.
- Conduct bedside teaching, clinical assessments, and skills audits.
- Support the implementation of training programs aligned with SANC , NQF , and hospital standards.
- Identify learning needs and coordinate in-service training and workshops.
- Collaborate with Nursing Management, Unit Managers, and academic institutions.
- Promote evidence-based clinical practices and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements :
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) .
- Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (essential).
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ recent experience in a Critical Care environment .
- Previous experience as a clinical facilitator or mentor will be an advantage.
- Strong clinical knowledge in Critical Care principles and protocols.
- Excellent facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Passion for teaching and developing others.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Strong administrative, planning, and reporting skills.
