Job description

Well known medical supplier requires an Advanced Wound Care Clinical Educator for the Pretoria territory.

Qualifications Required
  1. Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse or similar
  2. WHASA or recognized Wound Management certificate is essential
  3. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical setting working with patients, nurses, surgeons, etc. or end users
  4. Domestic travel required
  5. Valid drivers license and own transport is essential
Duties
  1. Attend to clinical training in the private hospital sector within Pretoria
  2. Maintain professional credentials and education to maintain status as a clinical expert
  3. Support in-hospital wound care in conjunction with employed hospital staff
  4. Set up new wound care protocols for follow up visits for end users
  5. Deliver education programs to a diverse group of internal and external customers and end users to drive better wound outcomes and improve care
  6. Report back to senior leadership key clinical learnings and opportunities
  7. The Wound Care educator provides clinical and operational support in the delivery of patient care in a hospital setting or clinical environment
  8. Responsible for training physicians/clinicians/nurses on procedures, protocols and product use
  9. Assists with front office operations including, but not limited to, billing, invoicing, scheduling, tracking of procedures, reporting, and funder approvals
