Job summary

Clicks Group in Bellville, Cape Town, is seeking a Nursing Practitioner to join the 24hr Pharmacy clinic. You will promote and deliver professional clinic services, manage patient care, and ensure compliance with SANC regulations.

You will build a loyal client base, provide immunisations, phlebotomy, and primary health care, while maintaining patient records, handling billing, and coordinating with pharmacists and other health professionals.

Qualifications

• Essential: 3 years practical nursing experience in community health, primary health or midwifery
• Desirable: Unisolv and Allegra
• Essential: Registered Nursing Practitioner with SANC
• Essential: 3 year Diploma in Nursing or the 4 year degree

Responsibilities

• To establish and grow a loyal client base through effective promotion of the Clinic's services and by delivering high standards of patient care and customer service
• To provide a multitude of clinic services including immunisations, well baby clinics, phlebotomy service, reproductive health and other primary health care
• To counsel and advise patients on health information and weight management and refer patients to pharmacists and other health professionals when appropriate
• To ensure patient information is held securely, confidentially and accurately maintained on an electronic system and that payment is received for all services rendered
• To ensure efficient running of the clinic through administration, booking locums and timely reporting on financial and stock management
• To monitor stock and cold chain and prevent stock loss and shrinkage, following safety precautions for medical items
• To establish and build health professional networks to enhance clinic offerings
• To plan and coordinate Health Days and other projects to enhance offering to customers
• To manage adverse events and emergencies in a professional manner
