Job summary

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd (PFA) is seeking a Customer Service Associate in the Eastern Cape region. The role involves handling standard customer inquiries, ensuring CRM data accuracy, and referring complex matters to colleagues.

You will interview customers to clarify requirements using a multi-level sales script, develop relationships with potential clients, and support routine business development tasks in line with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 4 education or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to follow standard procedures and scripts to handle routine inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Carry out standard customer service activities and handle simple customer inquiries.
• Assess compliance with established standards and protocols for routine inquiries.
• Receive visitors and assist with various requests for information, referring more complex matters to colleagues.
• Ensure that basic customer details held in the CRM are accurate and note follow-up actions.
• Interview the customer to clarify requirements using a multilevel sales script.
• Make calls to allocated potential customers to develop relationships and be the first contact for queries and complaints.
• Follow mandatory procedures to ensure work meets quality standards and external regulatory codes.
• Carry out routine business development support tasks and assist others by following established procedures.
• Identify potential customers by obtaining information, referrals, and recommendations from existing customers.
• Input data into spreadsheets or standard formats and understand the value of networking within a network of people, technologies, and ideas.
