Our client in the AgriTech industry is looking for a Client Strategist / Account Manager to join their team.
POSITION INFO: Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to drive revenue growth by taking initiative and expanding the client base within multiple commodity groups and areas within South Africa. As a Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the products/services, nurturing client relationships, whilst staying informed about industry trends, and contribute to the company's overall success and revenue growth. You will play a vital role in product prioritisation, assuring business that what they take to market is relevant and that the market is in need of these tools and features.
Responsibilities:
- Client Base Expansion:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify untapped business opportunities within a specific geographic area.
- Market Penetration: Develop and execute strategies for entering new markets and expanding the company's client base.
- Relationship Building:
- Effective Communication: Establish open lines of communication with potential clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are heard and addressed promptly.
- Ensuring New Client Engagement:
- Onboarding: Guide new clients through the implementation process, ensuring they are engaged and committed to the company's products or services with the assistance of the commercial and operational team.
- Market Research:
- Trend Monitoring: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions in South Africa.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use market research findings to make informed decisions and adapt sales strategies accordingly with the commercial team.
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team to develop comprehensive and effective sales strategies.
- Pipeline and Target Management:
- Lead Identification: Identify and qualify potential leads to create a robust sales pipeline on HubSpot.
- Regular Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the team regarding the status of the sales pipeline.
- Value Demonstration: Confidently deliver compelling sales presentations that highlight the value and benefits of the company's products or services.
- Live Demoing: Understand the client needs and the solution our product/services can offer by demoing a heavy hitting solution.
- Problem-Solving: Address client needs and potential pain points during presentations, offering solutions and demonstrating how the company can meet their requirements.
- Product Knowledge:
- Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products or services, including their features, benefits, and unique selling points. Use this knowledge to tailor solutions to individual client needs and tell a whole story of how feature sets fit together.
- Feedback and Improvement:
- Client Feedback: Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, collecting feedback to help enhance products or services.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales, with a strong emphasis on client acquisition and growth.
- Familiarity with the fresh produce market and business culture.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Proven verbal and written communications skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Intermediate to advanced level of data skills.
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a logistics provider, perishable commodity agent/retailer or commercial farming company in a planning, operational, logistics or solutions role.
- Experience in managing client/supplier relationships.
- Experience in analysing operational processes and/or logistics operations.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, Agri Economics or a related field (preferred).
