Client Relationship Officer required in Cape Town.
We’re looking for a client-focused professional with a passion for building strong relationships in the asset management sector. You’ll be the key contact for a portfolio of institutional clients, ensuring an exceptional client experience and smooth operational service.
What you’ll do:
- Client Service: Be the primary contact for client queries, resolve issues promptly, and deliver outstanding service. Build long-term, trusted relationships by understanding and anticipating client needs.
- Case & CRM Management: Track and resolve client queries through our case management system.
- Keep client records updated and use feedback to drive service improvements.
- Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition and adherence to SLAs.
- Reporting & Audits: Coordinate with finance on invoicing, assist with audit requests, and prepare client reports as needed.
- Meetings & Presentations: Help prepare for client meetings and, over time, take a lead in hosting service reviews.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Risk, Sales, Compliance, etc.) and contribute to process improvement projects.
- Process & Risk Management: Keep process documentation up to date and support digital innovation initiatives.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree, B Com Hons or similar qualification, in Finance, Investment, Commerce, or similar.
- 3–5 years’ experience in client services, relationship management, or operations within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of asset management (including investment strategies and risk).
- Understanding of asset management regulations and compliance needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Experience with systems like Charles River, Hiport, Infostore, or CRM platforms is a plus.
- Experience working with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is beneficial.
