Aon South Africa is looking to hire a Client Relationship Advisor in our Commercial Team, this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our main office in Sandton.
The purpose of the role is to maintain, retain and service clients by improving day to day client relationships including servicing their portfolios

What the day will look like
- Responsible for being the primary point of contact for clients
- Responsible for the entire client life-cycle, including renewals, endorsements and/or cancellations.
- Works with High Volumes Sales on new business
- Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability
- Responsible for organic growth including upselling and cross selling
- Ensure high quality and efficient delivery of all client servicing, administrative and transactional activities
- Responsible for the renewal process which includes pre-renewal, negotiating terms with insurers and present renewal terms to the client
- Works with the admin team to finalise the renewal documents
- Negotiates with insurers on any discounts, following requests from clients
- Manages and facilitates the cancellation process and creates the necessary refunds where applicable
- Responsible for answering calls in the contact centre and assisting clients
- Responsible for credit control
- Act as main contact for a portfolio of commercial clients.
- Provide professional, compliant advice on covers, limits and policy wordings.
- Manage renewals end-to-end, including negotiation with insurers and presenting terms to clients.
- Handle mid-term endorsements, cancellations and refunds accurately and efficiently.
- Work with the High-Volume Sales on new business and the admin team on policy documentation.
- Drive client satisfaction, retention and organic growth through cross-selling and upselling.
- Manage credit control for your portfolio.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Qualifications.
- A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferable
- Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
- Must be registered as a licentiate with the IISA
Knowledge
- Solid understanding of commercial policy wordings and products.
- An extensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets will be advantageous
- An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals will be advantageous
- Digital literacy with sophisticated know-how in MS Word and Excel.

Experience.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial short-term insurance role.
