Job summary

Corient, a Cape Town/Johannesburg based family office accounting team, is seeking a senior accounting professional to lead a team, manage trust and company reporting, and ensure timely financial statements. The role involves cross-location coordination, client liaison, and tax/compliance support.

The ideal candidate will have a BCom in accounting, SAIPA articles, and at least two years post-articles experience in a deadline-driven finance environment, with exposure to trusts and investment

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting graduate with SAIPA Articles completed.
• Minimum of 2 years post-articles experience.
• Experience in a deadline-driven financial role with trusts and companies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain trial balance and prepare financial statements for trusts and companies.
• Keep entity ledgers up to date and reconciled.
• Gather client agreements and third-party documents for invoicing and reporting.
• Collaborate with relationship managers to prepare financial reports and tax returns.
• Support the Client Accounting Manager with day-to-day people management and workload planning.
• Provide reports for client reporting and tax compliance purposes.
• Ensure tax compliance across allocated clients (individuals, trusts & companies).
