Job description

Are you a dynamic and motivated individual with UK-based accounting experience and a strong understanding of HMRC, Companies House regulations, and the needs of UK small businesses? Are you CIMA or ACCA qualified (Management Level or above), or SAIPA accredited? Do you bring a fresh and innovative approach to accounts preparation? If you have completed your 3-year traineeship/articles in a small to medium-sized accounting practice and have experience working with UK clients, this opportunity could be a perfect fit for you!

Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking Offshore services accounting firm, is looking for an experienced accounting professional to join their Business Advisory Department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and preparing accounts as directed, managing UK-based client relationships, and delivering exceptional service tailored to the UK regulatory environment.

This is your chance to showcase your expertise in preparing and reviewing financial accounts, assisting with management accounts and financial forecasts, ensuring smooth UK tax compliance through HMRC, handling Companies House submissions, and guiding clients—particularly small businesses—through the transition to cloud accounting.

You will be part of a collaborative team in a dynamic and supportive environment, where your UK accounting knowledge and insights will have a direct and meaningful impact.

Requirements:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified (Management Level or above), or SAIPA accredited Professional Accountant (SA)
  • Completion of the 3-year traineeship/articles at a small to medium-sized accounting practice.
  • Strong experience in a similar accounting environment (small/medium-sized accounting/audit practice).
  • Proven experience working with UK clients, small UK-based companies, and familiarity with HMRC and Companies House processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate financial information.
  • A personable individual who enjoys building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and proficiency in applying technology to improve processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally experience with Xero or other cloud accounting software.
