Description

Hire Resolve's Client in the accounting and auditing industry , is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Client Accountant to join their team. As a Client Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining client accounting and payroll records. Your primary responsibilities revolve around compiling accurate financial statements, assisting clients with SARS-related matters, payroll, and addressing accounting queries. Your duties encompass monthly accounting and payroll tasks, compilation engagements, and fostering strong client relationships through effective communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Monthly Accounting and Payroll Management
    • Compile and maintain accurate monthly accounting records, including reconciliations for debtors, creditors, VAT, payroll, and bank.
    • Ensure completeness by supporting payroll changes with necessary documentation like contracts, bonus letters, and authorized correspondences.
    • Assist clients across industries with VAT, payroll, and basic accounting queries and submissions.
    • Prepare and submit Workman's Compensation and UIF via uFiling.
    • Handle VAT and payroll tax submissions, addressing SARS queries and audits promptly.
    • Follow up on VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF payments, and address penalties or interest when necessary.
  • Compilations and Independent Reviews
    • Perform Compilations and Independent Reviews for various entities like Companies, Trusts, Close Corporations, etc.
    • Draft financial statements adhering to IFRS for SMEs and Basic Accounting principles.
  • Client Engagement
    • Cultivate strong client relationships through efficient communication.
    • Provide expert advice and solutions for SARS and accounting-related queries.
    • Deliver exceptional client service, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
    • Offer regular management report updates to clients..
  • Prepare and review client financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Manage the collection of payments and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve any financial issues
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to management
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting


Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years in client accounting.
  • SAIPA articles advantageous.
  • Software Proficiency: Pastel Partner, Sage Online, Pastel Partner Payroll, CaseWare Working Papers, Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
