WasteWant is recruiting two Cleaning Services Foremen to oversee public toilet cleaning operations along Cape Town’s coastline. These are Employment Equity (EE) positions, and we strongly encourage applications from designated groups.

Position 1: Area North Foreman

Coverage: Melkbosstrand to Milnerton

Base: Northern Coastal Region

Position 2: Deep South Foreman

Coverage: Muizenberg to Simonstown

Base Requirement: Must reside in Fish Hoek or surrounding areas

Due to early morning and late evening shifts aligned with public toilet operating hours, the successful candidate must be able to transport workers to and from sites, especially in Simonstown.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Supervise cleaning teams assigned to public toilets along designated coastal routes.
• Ensure timely opening and closing of facilities, cleanliness standards, and staff attendance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and enforce hygiene, safety, and PPE compliance.
• Address public complaints and liaise with municipal officials as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff rosters, incidents, and supplies.

Requirements:

• At least a Code B South African driver’s licence
• Strong administrative ability and computer literacy are essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in cleaning services, facilities management, or team supervision
• Ability to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• High level of reliability, responsibility, and attention to detail

Key Performance Areas:

Working Conditions:
