Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility and management of your site.
- Act with utmost urgency when attending to any client request and do so proactively.
- Allocate the resources of the contract effectively to achieve maximum cleaning output, adhering to SLA resource requirements.
- Manage output-based contracts efficiently.
- Proactively work with HR to manage a pool of trained relief staff to prevent service disruptions.
- Ensure work schedules and job cards are in place for each position and relevant to the site.
- Maintain high service standards through regular inspections.
- Manage unit closures, ensuring proper service until the last trading day and completing all related processes within the month of closing.
- Retain contracts by maintaining excellent service, mitigating cancellation risks, and building strong client relationships.
- Ensure staff are correctly dressed with name badges, upholding the company's image.
- Adhere strictly to cleaning methodologies, company policies, quality programs, and legislation.
- Perform monthly asset checks, maintaining equipment in good condition and arranging repairs as needed.
- Use and update electronic tools provided by the company effectively.
- Schedule and conduct training for staff to empower them in their duties, including regular on-job training.
- Maintain unit files and notice boards as per company policy.
Communication
- Conduct regular client meetings and obtain sign-off on unit visit checklists.
- Respond promptly to client and management requests.
- Complete monthly client-specific records, including hygiene reports, inspection reports, training reports, maintenance reports, and surveys.
- Communicate company information effectively to staff.
- Keep management informed of contract-related issues.
Labour Management
- Coordinate with HR to allocate staff according to policies.
- Complete and submit timesheets timely.
- Manage daily HR and industrial relations issues, adhering to disciplinary procedures.
- Participate in CCMA cases and union meetings if required.
- Conduct performance appraisals, identify development needs, and arrange training.
- Ensure staff compliance with company rules.
Health and Safety
- Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety requirements specific to each site, in line with policies and legislation.
Unit Finances
- Manage leave liabilities and plans according to policies.
- Identify opportunities for additional business and one-off cleaning projects.
- Authorize and bill for rechargeable and overtime work promptly.
- Ensure debt collection aligns with contractual terms.
- Obtain approval for capital expenditure and repairs prior to ordering.
- Order chemicals and consumables within the monthly budget.
General
- Maintain high morale and motivation among staff.
- Attend meetings and training sessions.
- Implement initiatives set by clients or management, supporting functions like Quality, Procurement, Training, HR.
- Represent the TCS brand professionally at all times.
- Adhere to statutory and legal requirements.
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
