Job summary

Msuez UK in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a Cleaner to maintain clean and hygienic environments for our clients. You will work with a team to ensure cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standard across offices and common areas.

This full-time, permanent role requires cleaning experience, knowledge of chemicals, strong attention to detail, and good communication. Willingness to work weekends/evenings and provide a police clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cleaner or similar role.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Availability to work full-time, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to provide a police clearance certificate.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated areas, including offices, bathrooms, and common areas
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Empty trash and replace garbage bags
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, including desks, tables, and countertops
• Restock supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards clients and colleagues
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
