Southwest ISD is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support classroom instruction and help students achieve learning objectives. You will assist the teacher in organizing activities and ensuring a smooth classroom environment.

Responsibilities include working with individuals or small groups, reading aloud with students, and monitoring behavior and attendance. Strong communication skills and confidentiality are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with ESSA or NCLB certificate.
• Associates degree or 48 college hours from an accredited college.
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing is essential.
• Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.

Responsabilités

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Read to students, listen to reading, and participate in oral activities.
• Alert regular teacher to any problems or information about a student.
• Monitor students throughout the school day inside and outside the classroom.
• Serve as a primary source of information for substitutes.
