Job description

Our client, a World-renowned BPO in Cape Town, is looking for Claims Handlerto join their growing team.

As a Claims Handler, you will handle majorly inbound calls. Ensure a positive customer experience and maintains an in-depth knowledge of customer needs.

Essential Functions

  • Address incoming telephone, digital, or written inquiries
  • Assist customer with complex claim questions, resolving issues, and educating members
  • Strong attention to detail and complex problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication, empathy and motivational skills
  • Understand and addresses customer needs which may include complex benefit questions, resolve issues, and educate Members. Record details of inquiries, comments or complaints, transactions or interactions and takes action in accordance with it
  • Escalate unresolved and pending customer grievances
  • South African Citizen
  • Must have a National Senior Certificate (Matric Certificate)
  • Must have a Clear Credit record, non-negotiable
  • Must have a Clear Criminal record, non-negotiable
  • Must be willing to work night shift, non-negotiable
  • Neutral English Accent (mandatory)
  • 6-12 months consecutive customer service experience
  • Typing Speed 25wmp 95%
  • Soft skills & Telecommunications Experience (Advantageous)
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office, Social Media, Online, Navigation)
  • Good articulation of the English language (Spoken and Written)

Salary : Market related, S ift Allowance, Medical Allowance, Provident Fund, Pay for Performance

Shifts and benefits :

  • Monday to SundayUK rotational 9-hour shifts between9am and 11pm
  • Free Transport to Home - within 35km radius from CBD, if scheduled to work after 18h00 pm (SA time) Monday to Sunday

Location - Based in Cape Town, CBD
