Role Description

The Claims Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Randburg, responsible for managing and administering insurance claims related to the company’s services. Day-to-day tasks include receiving and assessing claim documentation, verifying policy coverage, and coordinating site inspections and technical assessments with internal technicians. The role involves preparing accurate damage reports and quotations, communicating with insurers and clients on claim status, and ensuring timely resolution in line with service level agreements. The Claims Consultant will maintain detailed records, follow up on outstanding information, and help streamline claims processes to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. Collaboration with operations, finance, and technical teams is essential to ensure claims are handled professionally and consistently.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Insurance and Insurance Claims knowledge, including familiarity with policy terms, cover limits, and claims procedures. (ONLY HOME OWNERS CLAIMS EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED)
• Candidates should possess solid Claims Handling and Claims Management skills, with experience assessing losses, preparing reports, and coordinating resolutions.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written communication, professional telephone and email etiquette, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Relevant experience in property, electrical, or security-related insurance claims, preferably within a home or commercial services environment.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
• Proficiency in common office software and claims or CRM systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Matric or equivalent required; a diploma or certification in insurance, risk management, or a related field is advantageous.
• Ability to work on-site in Randburg, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver reliable, client-focused service.
