Job Opportunity: Claims Administrator at Johannesburg North Insurance Brokerage

Join our team and play a crucial role in restoring our clients to their pre-loss status. You will be responsible for efficient claims management, ensuring adherence to service standards and swift turnaround times. Help clients navigate the complexities of the claims process and secure optimal outcomes.

Position Details:
  • Claims Administration (motor and non-motor) for the allocated portfolio
  • Motor claims handling
  • General administrative tasks
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Gather all relevant details when clients contact us.
  2. Check premium payments and coverage immediately. If the premium is unpaid or coverage is unavailable, clarify with the Agent or Member before advising the client.
  3. Register the claim on the CIMS system upon notification. Create a checklist immediately after registration with all necessary information filled in. Send claims forms to the insured for completion.
  4. Send initial notification to the client and insurance company confirming receipt of documentation or claim completion.
  5. Arrange for an assessor to inspect the damage upon receipt of claim documentation, or refer the insured to the nearest drive-in assessment center.
  6. Follow up regularly on the assessment process and keep the insured informed of progress.
  7. Follow up on authorization with the repairer, confirm when the vehicle has been assessed, and notify the insured that repairs are authorized.
  8. Ensure all claim forms are fully completed; return incomplete forms to the insured for correction.
  9. Prepare or obtain relevant claims experience data as requested by the underwriter or Relationship Manager.
