Claims Assessor (Life) - Job Description

Our client based in the Umhlanga area is seeking an experienced Claims Assessor (Life).

The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication skills, work ethic, and dedication to the workplace.

Requirements:

1. Detailed knowledge relating to the specialist/technical nature of life claims assessment
2. Good understanding of medical conditions and the ability to understand medical terminology and medical reports
3. At least 2 – 4 years' work experience as a Life Assessor is required
4. Previous work experience in long-term insurance services, financial services, or an insurance company would be most valuable
5. Must have FAIS (Further Education and Training Certificate – FETC – IN Short Term Insurance, Long Term Insurance, or Retail Insurance)
6. Must have RE5
7. A medical qualification would be an advantage
