Job SummaryGeneration of drawings and filing for projects in infrastructural services, mainly water supply and wastewater.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with the design engineer to obtain clear specifications.
- Support the design department and project managers with necessary drawings from concept to handover.
- Generate drawings for projects in infrastructural services, mainly water supply and wastewater, to meet project objectives.
- Assist in projects involving roads and stormwater disciplines as required.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Communicate with team members and service providers to share ideas, troubleshoot, and propose solutions.
- Provide guidance on the filing system to all staff.
- Perform ad-hoc office duties as assigned by the Lead Engineer.
Qualifications and Experience / Minimum Requirements- National Diploma, B. Tech, or BSc in Civil Engineering or similar (advantageous).
- Minimum of 5+ years of civil inspection experience, including marine civil works in major construction industries.
- Experience in designing WTP, water retaining pump stations, reservoirs, and pipelines.
- Basic knowledge of Employee Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, OHS Act, and understanding of design compliance standards.
- Occasional inter-provincial site visits.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Knowledge in reading, developing, and applying 3D models, P&IDs, PFDs, and CFDs.
- Interdisciplinary engineering knowledge in Civil, Mechanical, and Structural engineering.
