The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. This is a critical role for ensuring the successful execution of projects within the North West province.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily construction activities on site, including earthworks, concrete pours, and structural erection.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Monitor progress, quality, and production rates, reporting any deviations to the Project Manager.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and execution of works.
• Manage site resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare daily site reports, including progress updates, challenges, and safety observations.
• Resolve on-site technical issues and provide practical solutions.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registration as a Candidate Engineer (Pr. Eng) or Candidate Technologist (Pr. Tech Eng) with ECSA is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction, with significant site-based work.
• Hands-on experience with various civil engineering construction methods and materials.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications effectively.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding project deadlines.
• Must be willing to reside in or commute to Mahikeng, North West .
