Placements24 is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join their Sandton team. The role combines hybrid on-site oversight with remote administrative tasks to drive the successful execution of diverse civil engineering and construction projects.

You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, requiring strong leadership and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related construction management field.
• 7+ years of civil project management and construction oversight.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contract management.

Responsibilities

About the Role

This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of diverse civil engineering and construction projects, from infrastructure development to commercial buildings. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction processes and project management principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of civil construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
