Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist specializing in Water & Sanitation to join the Centurion team on vital water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will lead detailed designs, prepare drawings and tender docs, conduct site inspections, and supervise construction to ensure quality and compliance. With 5+ years' experience and ECSA eligibility, you will collaborate with managers, contractors, and clients to deliver sustainable public works.

Qualifications

• A National Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Civil Engineering Technologist focused on water and sanitation.
• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for water supply, distribution, and wastewater systems.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents for projects.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise construction per design and quality standards.
• Perform hydraulic modelling and analysis for water and wastewater networks.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and clients to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and public health standards.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and wastewater management systems.
• Experience with contract administration and site supervision.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
