Job Advertisement : Civil Engineer / Technologist

To provide civil services to my client. The Professional Civil Engineer / Civil Technologist's knowledge of the civil engineering discipline and good engineering practices, including design, construction monitoring, and project management duties, will ensure autonomous project execution while supporting the broader client business, values, and vision. The candidate should also mentor young Engineers / Technologists to gain experience and acquire Pr registration.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks :

• General project administration
• Assist with the preparation of proposals
• Ensure clear agreement of client objectives and that these are met or exceeded
• Assist and adhere to HSE requirements during design stages
• Design Engineer / Technologist forming part of feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, and implementation of projects
• Management and control of health, safety, and environmental risks associated with project activities
• Development and implementation of initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and efficiency of project execution
• Effective management and control of risks through engineering designs
• Manage multiple projects
• Train and mentor young Engineers and Technologists

Education, Language & Qualifications

• Eng / B Tech Civil Engineering degree
• Professional registration with ECSA is a requirement (Minimum 5 years post-registration experience in the Civil Engineering environment)
