Civil Engineer - Stormwater Management

Our client is a dynamic and expanding engineering firm specializing in the design and delivery of innovative infrastructure solutions. We are committed to excellence and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Civil Engineer to join our team in Cape Town.
This role focuses on the design and management of stormwater systems for a variety of projects, including roads, residential developments, and other critical infrastructure. Responsibilities:

1. Design and analyze stormwater management systems, including drainage networks etc.
2. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
3. Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
4. Perform site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify potential issues.
5. Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSc, BEng, BTech).
2. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a focus on stormwater management.
3. Proficiency in Civil 3D or Civil Designer software is essential.
4. Strong understanding of hydraulic and hydrologic principles.
5. Experience with stormwater modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) is highly desirable.
6. Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations.
7. ECSA registration essential (professional preferred).
