Air Chefs in Limpopo seeks a General Manager of Citrus Production to lead P&L, production planning, and horticultural operations across irrigation, nutrition, crop protection, pruning and harvest. You will drive yield, fruit quality and cost performance while aligning with GlobalG.A.P., SIZA, and export standards.

The role requires senior management experience in commercial citrus at scale, with a track record of improving packout and productivity, and you will mentor farm and production

Qualifications

• Substantial direct experience in commercial citrus production at a similar scale with senior management responsibility.
• Track record of improving yield, fruit quality, packout, productivity or cost performance.
• Strong practical citrus agronomy knowledge with experience managing farm and production managers.

Responsabilités

• Full P&L, operating cash performance and delivery of the approved business plan.
• Agricultural leadership across irrigation, nutrition, crop protection, pruning, yield optimisation, replanting and harvest with technical depth to challenge production programmes.
• Orchard redevelopment and execution of the approved replanting programme.
• Production forecasting, crop estimation and harvest planning with the packhouse and supply chain.
• Building and developing the leadership team – managing managers, not just directing activity.
• Compliance and quality across GlobalG.A.P., SIZA, export/phytosanitary and HSE standards.
• Representing communities, authorities and the wider Group.
