Job description

The overall purpose of this position is to act as Investigator / Auditor in the CIT environment, aiming to resolve cash losses, bring culprits to justice, and seek preventative actions.

Furthermore, the person will proactively audit operational branches, question procedures, and suggest policies and procedures to prevent future cash losses, reduce armed robberies, and enable a reduction in claims.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Matric Certificate or equivalent.
  2. Code 08 Driver's license (B).
  3. Clear criminal record.
  4. Must be accredited by PSIRA with at least Grade B and CIT.
  5. Completed Firearm training in handgun and preferably rifle, with a valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate.
  6. Computer literacy within the MS Windows environment.
  7. Be prepared to work irregular hours and travel extensively.
  8. A minimum of 2/3 years' experience in the security industry acting as investigator or in a similar role.
Key Performance Areas
  1. Research/investigate the activities of criminal elements and crime syndicates targeting the CIT Division.
  2. Identify crime syndicate hotspots and initiate intelligence-driven operations to apprehend them.
  3. Investigate internal cash losses systematically and suggest preventative actions.
  4. Compile and maintain case dockets with sufficient evidence for prosecution or other necessary actions.
  5. Submit evidence to relevant government authorities for action.
  6. Monitor and support authorities during investigations.
  7. Network with SAPS, NPA, Directorate of Special Operations, and other relevant organizations.
  8. Maintain a database of investigation information.
  9. Perform audits at operational branches to identify shortfalls.
  10. Question current procedures and suggest improvements.
  11. Liaise with CIT management to prevent cash losses and robberies.
