Job summary

A leading security service provider in South Africa is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Cash in Transit Officer. Responsibilities include safely collecting and delivering clients' money, managing consignments, and ensuring alertness to suspicious activities. Ideal candidates must hold a PSIRA Grade C qualification, a clear criminal record, and have at least two years of experience in the security industry. We emphasize honesty, reliability, and strong communication skills. Preference is given to Historically Disadvantaged Candidates as part of our transformation policy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for collecting and delivering clients’ money.

FCS

Reporting to the Branch Manager

The above position is vacant at our Vredendal Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to collect and deliver clients’ money and provide proof of delivery and collection.

Minimum Requirements

• Clear criminal record
• PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C qualification
• Cash in Transit (CIT) certificate
• Firearm competency – with a minimum handgun (for business purposes) qualification
• At least 2 years’ experience in security industry or similar role (Advantages at FSG)
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage
• Able to work under pressure
• Physically fit

Job Specification

• Full responsibility for collecting and delivering clients’ money
• Receiving, sorting and distributing consignments
• Report all delays to the Operations Manager immediately
• Incident prevention and reporting
• Maintain radio contact with controllers
• Take preventative action towards any suspicious activity
